Education (K-12)

Alabama has implemented one of the most stringent graduation standards in the nation, requiring four years each of English, math, science, and social studies in high school. Moreover, biology, algebra, and geometry are now required subjects. In order to graduate, students also must pass a newly strengthened graduation exam that tests knowledge of the core curriculum at the 11th-grade level.
