  • Six interstate highways (I-10, I-20, I-59, I-85, I-65, I-22) converge in Alabama allowing for goods to be shipped to major markets.
  • The Mobile Container Terminal, a $300 million container/intermodal/distribution terminal, offers an improved option along the U.S. Gulf Coast for reaching major markets.
  • Alabama is served by 16 freight railroads including 5 Class 1 railroads, carrying cargo over 3,700 miles (5,900+ km) of track.
  • Alabama imposes no inventory tax.
